MoD Collections Ornaments

2025 - Moved by the serenity of Charles Olivier de Penne's "Hounds in the Snow", the Museum is pleased to offer you its second annual holiday ornament from our collection. In the background, a path is swept while in the foreground, four beautiful hounds gather and observe the soft, silent day. Each ornament purchased comes in a rustic cardboard box, sealed shut with a twine bowtie and a heartfelt thank you from the staff for your support this past year.

2024 - Inspired by the AKC Museum of the Dog's collection, we offer to you a beautiful glass ornament featuring "The Reception Committee" by Marguerite Kirmse. Originally a wistful 20th century etching of two dogs looking out a snowy window, now printed on a lovely round ornament for your tree or holiday decorating. Each ornament purchased comes in a customized box featuring Arty watching the snow fall. Inside, your ornament is thoughtfully packaged in a layer of solid foam, a white backing card, and a top layer of foam cut out so you can see the ornament as soon as you lift the lid.
